Mission Statement
A professional journal for Seventh-day Adventist® teachers from kindergarten through university level, as well as educational administrators at all levels. Published bimonthly, except one issue for June through September. Each issue features informational and practical articles on a variety of topics relating to Christian education and devotional items. Occasional theme issues also deal with practical applications of Christian education and the integration of faith and learning in the classroom.
Articles by freelance authors are welcome. Please submit an inquiry or summary of the article before sending a finished manuscript.
The Journal of Adventist Education® purchases first North American rights for each article it prints. Articles may be translated and printed in the international edition of the Journal (French, Spanish, Portuguese)
Photos on all subjects relating to education are also welcome. Sharp, high-quality black-and-white or color photos are preferred, high-resolution scans or digital photos are also acceptable (at least 300 dpi). Payment varies, but may run as high as $250-300 for a photo used as a cover.
Authors are paid upon publication of their articles. Amount varies, depending on length and other factors. Authors also receive two copies of the finished magazine in which their article appears.
