Vacancy, Dean of Post Graduate Studies. The Southeast Asia Union Mission is actively searching for a new president for Asia-Pacific International University in Thailand (formerly Mission College), with an anticipated appointment date of August 2010. The Updated Post-secondary Institutions Accreditation Status List is Available

This list identifies, by institution and country, all post-secondary institutions recognized and accredited by the Seventh-day Adventist church, along with the year each institution was first accredited and when current accreditation expires. Expiration is always on December 31 of the year identified, and during that same year the next accreditation visit will be scheduled.

The Education Department is responsible for the coordination, promotion, training, and quality of the global Seventh-day Adventist educational program, which includes nearly 7,600 schools, colleges and universities, with over 80,000 teachers and 1,545,000 students. Working in close cooperation with the Education Department directors in the 13 world divisions, the staff offers services to boards, administrators, and faculty of Adventist colleges and universities worldwide. The staff also provides support through the world divisions to educational leaders at union/ conference/ mission levels and to teachers in Adventist elementary and secondary schools to ensure that the Adventist philosophy of education and the principles of faith-and-learning are integrated into the life of each institution. Through AMiCUS, the Department cooperates with Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries and the Youth Ministries Departments in nurturing the faith of Adventist students attending non-Adventist colleges and universities around the world.
